About the Programme

The aim is to improve Engineering as a career choice amongst learners.
- Engaging the learners in bigger picture promotions of learning Maths, Science and Technology.
- This evolved from the fact that engineering in South Africa, inclusive of all the disciplines, as a profession has insufficient experienced and active engineers and very poor representation of Africans.

Technology Laboratory
Enhance learning through:
- CAD (Computer Aided Design)
- Using concrete material
- Lego Dacta for construction

- New concepts to learners and educators
Engineering and Technology Kit
The Technology engineering kit is put together to:
- Enhance teaching and learning
- Introduce new concepts to learners
- Experience learning through practical activities
Ambassadors Programme
Fourteen engineering graduates (with Murray & Roberts) has volunteered as ambassadors for the Engineering and Technology Programme of Maths Centre.
The role of ambassadors are to:
- Train the learners on different focus areas
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Structures
- Processing
- Guide the learners on the Technology Olympiad challenge
