The role of the Research Unit at the Maths Centre head office is to provide primary support to the National Director in terms of project data analysis, project monitoring and evaluation, and the development of the Maths Centre to a centre of educational excellence.

The Unit prides itself in having qualified and strong-minded staff, who strive to produce high-quality work by following strict business ethical codes. Going forward, the Unit has developed processes that will advance the Maths Centre further in terms of project monitoring and field trainer success.

The Unit has been instrumental in the development of functional processes for Maths Centre field trainers. These processes have included the following:

  • The Standard Monitoring Procedures
  • The Maths Centre Learner Progression Manual
  • Item-Analysis of Maths Centre Project Data
  • Evaluation Reports for Maths Centre Projects

The Research Unit strives to produce expert Maths Centre data analysis and reports.
