The Maths Centre has an excellent track record of improving maths and science results in schools across the province and works closely with Gauteng Department of Education to boost achievement in these critical areas.

The teacher support and development programmes in the province are intended to improve the competency of teachers to ensure successful teaching and learning of mathematics and the development of high-level literacy and numeracy skills. The teacher development offered is determined by perceived needs, needs identified via research and needs identified by teachers themselves.
