| What we do |
The Curriculum, Assessment,
Research and Development Unit has been set up to meet many
different practical dimensions of the following two aims, particularly those
that add to the knowledge of understanding problems and issues embedded
in practice through action research.
- To enhance teacher competencies in mathematics within a whole school
context through an intensive classroom and workshop based Key Teacher
Development Programme.
- To demonstrably enhance learner performance, through a systematic
monitoring of learner progression.
The Unit will primarily focus on:
- Developing interventions which monitor the functionality and effectiveness
of the Teacher Development Programme.
- Developing interventions which monitor the functionality and effectiveness
of the Learner Progression programme.
- Developing interventions which monitor the functionality and effectiveness
of the whole school changes.
- Informing the institutional decision making processes.
