 One of Maths Centre’s funders, Ernst & Young, have taken it upon themselves to organise a Take a Girl / Boy Child to Work Day on the 19th and the 20th of August 2010.
This initiative exposed the learners to, among other things, the world of work and possible career opportunities. The schools involved were Tembisa, Masiqhakaze, Thuto-ke Maatla, Zitikeni and Cosmo City secondary schools.

33 girls and 27 boys took part in the event and all those who had a chance to air their views have indicated that it was worthwhile to have attended the event. Thanks to Ernst & Young for all the effort they put in to organising the event and making sure it is a success.
