During the annual Science Unlimited event, held in Pretoria 2-5 March 2010, Maths Centre Training Unit presented a workshop on patterns. FET learners and teachers were involved to determine linear and quadratic formulas from shapes - in this case a triangular pyramid that participants first had to construct using straws.
