 1 October 2009 – An entrepreneur of the NDA/Maths Centre project was honoured at the Alexandra Business Leader of the Year Award competition.
The project’s aim is to formalize small informal businesses coming from Alexandra and Soweto. Skhumbuzo Dlamini was recruited into the project in 2008. He is the owner of a construction company that he started in 2005 in the Alexandra township.
Skhumbuzo received the Alexandra Micro Business Leader of the year 2009 award at the ceremony. For this he received R10,000 from Standard Bank and The Business Place. He also received lifetime membership and training from the SME Chamber of Commerce.
