 The teachers/practitioners are doing well in the TWP/UBS ECD project.
Thus far they have completed the following units in the Unit Standard: Communication Skills.
- Unit 1: Oral communication
- Unit 2 Interest of the audience
- Unit 3: Manipulative language
- Unit 4: Strategies to understand meaning of texts and to extract messages from text
- Unit 5: Respond to selected texts
- Unit 6: Text influence on reader
Four 1-hour workshops are conducted per cluster each week and the teachers are very committed to their studies. Below are some workshop pictures that were taken:
Computer Donations
 Five laptops were donated to Karabo Early Learning Centre in Lombardy East near Alexandra. The principal had given a letter to Maths Centre, asking for assistance with computer donations as the school had just built a computer room and required computers. Monocle Solutions and Sechaba Computer Services donated the laptops and a thank you letter was sent by the school who were overjoyed upon receiving the laptops.
