KwaZulu Natal Grade 10 CAPS Training PDF Print E-mail

Maths Centre was again contracted by JET Education Services, in collaboration with the SADTU Curtis Nkondo Professional Development Institute, to conduct the Grade 10 CAPS training with the lead teachers from KZN's Northern and Southern Regions.

Northern Region Grade 10 CAPS Training

The Northern Region training took the form of an orientation workshop that was held on 9 February 2012. Training was conducted in Maths, Maths Literacy, Science and Accounting. The SADTU lead teachers were orientated in breakaway rooms on the CAPS document for approximately 4 hours. The presentations were conducted and delegates were fully engaged during the sessions. In the evening session the lead teachers were helped with designing flip charts and other supporting materials that were to be used at their facilitation workshops with classroom educators.

Southern Region Grade 10 CAPS Training

The Southern Region Grade 10 SADTU lead teachers were orientated by the Maths Centre on the CAPS document on 23 February 2012. This project was facilitated by JET Education Services, in collaboration with the SADTU Curtis Nkondo Professional Development Institute.

Training was conducted in Maths, Maths Literacy, and Science. The SADTU lead teachers were orientated in breakaway rooms on the CAPS document for approximately 4 hours. The presentations were conducted and delegates were fully engaged during the sessions. The evening was set aside for the trainers to assist the lead teachers with designing flip charts and other supporting materials that were to be used at facilitation workshops with classroom educators.
